Andre Schwartz is Managing Director at G2 Investment Group. From 2000 until joining G2, he was a private investor. From 1987 to 2000, Mr. Schwartz worked in Telluride, Colorado, where he consulted for various real estate developers, mortgage bankers and securitization conduits and formed and managed Skyfield, LLC, a real estate development firm. In 1985, he formed a mortgage banking firm, New England Mortgage Corporation, which in 1986 combined with Atlantic Mortgage Corporation, a firm run by Mr. Morley. From 1977 to 1985, Mr. Schwartz worked at Merrill Lynch, initially in the Federal Financing Department, where he was a Managing Director in charge of various U. S. Government Guaranteed Debt programs, before heading the Mortgage Finance Department, where he was involved in the beginnings of mortgage cash flow securitization, focused most directly on homebuilders and conduits. From 1974 to 1977, he worked in leveraged leasing at Lehman Brothers, and from 1969 to 1974, Mr. Schwartz practiced corporate and securities law with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. Prior to Cleary Gottlieb, he attended the University of Paris, held an Assistantship at the Law Faculty of the University of Muenster in Westphalia and worked for the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation in Amsterdam. Mr. Schwartz graduated with a B.A., cum laude, in Philosophy from Amherst College and earned a J.D., with distinction, from the University of Michigan Law School.
