Bill Bunting is a Managing Director and Co-heads the Forbes Private Capital Group team in our New York office. He joined Forbes in 2011 following a twenty-five year career of investment banking and private equity. Mr. Bunting was a Managing Director of Thomas Weisel Partners where he was a member of the private equity team. Prior to Thomas Weisel partners, Mr. Bunting was a Partner at Montgomery Securities where he ran the firm’s private placement business and was a founding partner of Spitfire Capital Partners, the firm’s merchant banking fund. During his career, Mr. Bunting served as a member of the board of directors of General Bandwidth, Hostcentric (acquired by Interland), Identiprise (acquired by Sun MicroSystems), Ion Systems (acquired by MKS Instruments), Netcom Systems (acquired by Spirent Communications), Racal Instruments (acquired by EADS) and Tellium (acquired by Zhone Technologies). Mr. Bunting earned his A.B. from Stanford University and his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
