Jim Gregorek is a Managing Director of G2 Capital Markets LLC, where he is one of three partners managing G2’s Esoteric Corporate Credit Trading team which is focused on illiquid corporate credit securities. The team’s primary universe includes private placements and other corporate debt, project finance bonds, equipment trust certificates, credit tenant lease bonds and other less frequently traded corporate debt. Activities of the team include secondary trading, new issue origination, portfolio analysis and liquidation as well as pricing and other consulting services. Prior to joining G2, he was at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital where he led the top private placement and esoteric credit trading business on Wall Street from 2006 to 2009. Mr. Gregorek’s background includes 21 years of client focused fixed income sales and trading experience at Lehman Brothers beginning in sales of money markets, progressing to corporate bonds and to private placements. Mr. Gregorek was selected by Lehman to partner with Scott Best running Esoteric Credit Trading in 2002. In 2006, he was promoted to run the Esoteric Corporate Credit Trading business on Scott Best’s retirement. Mr. Gregorek has extensive skills and client relationships in sourcing, marketing, trading and settling illiquid assets forged over the past 21 years. He is a graduate of Georgetown University where he earned a BA in History and was a scholarship athlete in track and field and cross country.
