Katharine Kaplan is a Vice President at G2 and is involved in its private equity and real estate activities. She is also a Vice President at Empeiria Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company that completed its initial public offering in June 2011. Prior to joining G2, Ms. Kaplan was an Associate at Lubert-Adler, a real estate fund manager, where she specialized in acquisitions and asset management. At Lubert-Adler, she underwrote and oversaw existing and new investments in the multifamily, self-storage, hotel and office sectors in major markets across the U.S. Ms. Kaplan was previously an Analyst in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Lehman Brothers, where she was responsible for valuation analysis and structuring for a wide variety of M&A and capital raising transactions. In this role, Ms. Kaplan was involved in a broad range of transaction types including buy- and sell-side advisory on company and portfolio sales and debt, equity, and convertible financings for both public and private clients. She graduated cum laude with an A.B. in History from Harvard University.
