Shilpa Mathai is a Managing Director and oversees the direct investment and capital raising activities for G2-sponsored and third-party investment partnerships in the Middle East. Prior to joining FPCG in 2011, Ms. Mathai worked as an Investor Relations Manager at Kingdom Hotel Investments where she was responsible for all investor relationships and capital sourcing activities, including origination and business development. Prior to Kingdom Hotel Investments, Ms. Mathai was the Director of Communications at Evolvence Capital where she spearheaded all fund raising and transaction sourcing while working on global marketing strategies for various private equity, real estate and alternative capital markets products. Prior to Evolvence Capital, Ms. Mathai was Senior Account Manager at Polaris Public Relations, where she handled all aspects of integrated marketing communications initiatives including marketing strategy, project management, product launches and execution of media strategies. Ms. Mathai started her career as a Reporter with The Hendon Times and then The Financial Times, she went on to become an Oman/Middle East Correspondent for both The Wall Street Journal and The Middle East, eventually becoming the News Editor for the Gulf Marketing Review. Ms. Mathai graduated with a B.Sc. in Economics and a M.Sc. in Economics from City University.
